The year started off with a bang and it's coming to a close with one, too. That's because of a game-changing Solar Eclipse in philosophical and freedom-loving Sagittarius on Dec. 14. The goal of this eclipse is to help us break free of the need to know it all, the need to be right, and the need to indulge every selfish whim. That said, we can expect this eclipse to show us where we need to be more thoughtful of others, make peace with uncertainty, and where need to stand up in support of justice, fairness, and ethics.

We can also expect the themes of community, equality, and doing what's right to be the primary focus this month, as we're called to think globally and act locally going forward.

May 2020 Horoscopes

The month opens with a Full Moon in powerful and passionate Scorpio (May 7), which pushes us to focus on our healing, acts of selflessness, and re-imagining the workplace. With hardworking Saturn going retrograde on May 11 and Mars moving to Pisces on the 13th, we can expect little emphasis on productivity and more emphasis on reevaluating our commitments to others and getting the rest we need.

Our values and relationships also come up for a review as Venus goes retrograde on the 13th in communicative and curious Gemini. With Mercury moving home to Gemini on the 11th, there will be lots of chatter in the air, particularly when it comes to addressing issues within our partnerships and connections.Meanwhile, on May 14, bountiful Jupiter goes retrograde in no-nonsense Capricorn, which asks us to look before we leap and conserve what we have. On the 20th, the Sun enters Gemini, bringing the attention to how we think, the information we're sharing and consuming, and the importance of staying flexible.

The New Moon in Gemini on May 22, provides us with some ideas on how we can best move forward, but we'll need to be willing to face some hard truths and make some dramatic changes to do so. With communicative Mercury entering tenderhearted Cancer on the 28th, intuition becomes our superpower.

April 2020 Horoscopes

April is shaping up to be quite an action-packed month thanks to love planet Venus entering bubbly and communicative Gemini on April 3, an intense Full Moon in partnership-oriented Libra on April 7, and chatty Mercury moving into fiery Aries on April 11. As a result, we can expect the first half of the month to be largely focused on maintaining and balancing the connections we share with others.

Come April 19, Taurus season officially kicks off as the confident Sun leaves go-getter Aries for pleasure and value-driven Taurus. For those of us that could use some extra pampering and care, Taurus season encourages us to seek comfort where we can, whether it's through art, a homemade meal, or a moisturizing sheet mask.

Still there could be some frustration in the air under a difficult New Moon in Taurus on April 22. We might experience some irritation in getting what we want or see a heightened uproar around sustainability and inequality. The new moon continues this month's theme by pushing us to double-check our priorities and come up with new approaches in getting what we want, while making sure there's enough to go around.

With power-hungry Pluto going retrograde in Capricorn on April 25, we'll definitely be called to dive deep and confront things we might want to avoid. Luckily, with chatty Mercury entering Taurus on the 27th, we can make some practical decisions and find some hands-on solutions along the way.

If last month felt like a roller-coaster, the first half of March gives us time to chill as charming Venus enters sensual Taurus on Mar. 4, inviting us to slow down and find pleasure in the everyday. Since chatty Mercury will be dipping back into unconventional Aquarius on that same day as well, which could make the vibe a bit frantic, Venus in Taurus will help smooth things out.

Come Mar. 9, Mercury retrograde comes to a close. On the same day, the Full Moon in health-conscious Virgo pushes us to engage activities that help with relieving stress and breaking unhealthy habits. On the 16th, Mercury re-enters dreamy Pisces, helping us calm our minds and close out anything that may have been left up in the air during Mercury retrograde.

This month, we’re not only called to get curious about the world around us by connecting with others and pursuing experiences that stimulate our minds, we’re called to do it with heart, especially as chatty Mercury spends time in tenderhearted Cancer (beginning June 4) and passionate Leo (beginning June 26). One reason for this comes courtesy of the New Moon in communicative Gemini on June 3, followed by love planet Venus entering Gemini on June 8. With the help of the New Moon and Venus in Gemini, we should find ourselves eager to learn, try new things, and make new friends along the way.

Though with chatty Mercury entering tenderhearted Cancer on June 4, followed by Cancer season kicking off on June 21, we’re called to make our connections, conversations, and actions count. And with the Full Moon in Sagittarius on June 17, the message of the month is clear—if it doesn’t contribute to our growth or make a meaningful contribution, it’s time to let it go. Wherever we may have been overly optimistic or avoiding seeing things as they are, we can look to dreamy Neptune in compassionate Pisces beginning its five month retrograde on the 21st to help clear away the fog.

With go-getter Mars entering tenderhearted Cancer (May 15th) this month and a Full Moon landing in all-or-nothing Scorpio (May 18th), we can expect emotions to be heightened this month. Though with all of the emo vibes that will be in the air, we’re called to pay close attention to what we feel and why, as our feelings will help to point us in the direction that we need to go, especially when it comes to our own happiness and pleasure. That said, pleasure will also be a theme this month with the New Moon in sensual Taurus on May 4th, followed by communicative Mercury entering Taurus on the 6th and love planet Venus moving home to Taurus on the 15th.

Simply put, the cosmos is encouraging us to focus on what matters most; the people, places, and the things that deeply resonate with us – mind, body, and soul. This will be especially true as the confident Sun and analytical Mercury move into curious and intellectual Gemini on May 21st confirming the need for intellectual fare, stimulating conversation, and fascinating discoveries. Happy Gemini Season!

March 2019 Horoscopes

march-astrology-report.jpg

It’s an action-packed month with Aries season kicking off but with communicative Mercury going retrograde in dreamy Pisces from March 5-28, we’re going to have to look before we leap. That’s because Mercury retrograde is when miscommunication, delays, and misunderstandings are at an all time high, and with Pisces in the mix, we might not be seeing things as clearly or as truthfully as we should. That’s why we’ll have to lean on Mercury in Pisces’ power of intuition to delve inward, reflect, and feel our way through.

Last month may have been a roller coaster ride thanks to the effects of two game-changing eclipses. Luckily, this month we get the chance to catch our breath and let the dust settle a bit. February opens with love planet Venus entering grounded and practical Capricorn on February 3rd, bringing the focus to commitment, dedication, and integrity when it comes to relationships and financial matters.

Since Capricorn is an earth sign, Venus in Capricorn will also be pushing us to establish a healthier relationship with ourselves, especially when it comes to our physical well-being. With active Mars entering sensual and equally grounded Taurus on February 14th, followed by the Full Moon in health-conscious Virgo on the 19th, the emphasis on our physical health will be hard to ignore.

As a rule, eclipses can be rough on the body by ramping up stress levels. The earthy energy coming our way can help us get the care and calming energy that we need.

Meanwhile, the New Moon in Aquarius on February 4th, coupled with the start of Pisces season on February 18th, encourages us to make smarter and more fulfilling choices when it comes to our connections to others, while looking to ways that we can help make the world better for others too–specifically those who may be vulnerable or marginalized. Having communicative Mercury entering soulful Pisces on February 10th means that we’ll be looking to have more meaningful conversations and connections as well.

Between the New Moon in Aquarius, Venus in Capricorn, and planets in Pisces, we’re reminded that healthy, supportive, and emotionally uplifting relationships can also be the anchor that we need right now.

November 2018 Horoscopes

november-astrology-report.jpg

Although there will be some big shifts taking place this month, things may still feel like they aren’t up to full speed as aggressive Mars enters dreamy and introverted Pisces on November 15 and Mercury, the planet of communication, goes retrograde in Sagittarius on November 16. However, there will be something that we can celebrate and that’s when Jupiter; the planet of growth, good fortune, and optimism moves home to happy-go-lucky  Sagittarius on November 8 after spending the last year in the murky waters of Scorpio. With Jupiter at home in Sagittarius for the next thirteen months, not only does it mean more abundance, adventure, and goodwill to go around (especially with Sagittarius season kicking off on November 22) but it also means that we’ll also be focusing more closely on the ethically or morally right thing to do for ourselves and others.
